Message	try and remember what was recently done to the car... maybe you'll find a connection and save yourself some troubleshooting time... But it could really only be one of two things... 1. your alt. isn't recharging your battery 2. you have an open circuit... could also possibly be what's causing the LED to remain on... Just thought of something... does your Viper have any option that transmits a signal? like something that would cause your stock antenna to operate... my old alarm would activate the OEM alarm when triggered and a pager would go off...
